KEENSPOT MOVES TO "TEMPLAR, ARIZONA"
Spike's Acclaimed Webcomic Joins Keenspot Network

Cresbard, SD, March 28, 2008 - Keenspot is honored to announce that Templar, Arizona has joined the Keenspot line-up. The award-winning webcomic by Spike has been a runaway critical hit since it debuted online in May 2005.

"My years of fiendish machinations have finally borne fruit!" said Spike, who describes Templar as "a story about a town that doesn't exist, and the people who live there."

"It's awesome to have Templar on Keenspot," said Keenspot CEO Chris Crosby. "It's a captivating story full of original characters and ideas, and the subtle alternate universe elements are icing on the cake."

The comic follows Ben Kowalski, a recent transplant from Yakima, Washington, a writer for a local alternative paper, and a dedicated hermit. His only friendships in Templar have been forced upon him; the acquaintance of a kindergartener named Zoradysis, and the determined attentions of his overbearing and flamboyantly obscene neighbor, Reagan. He needs to get out more, and he's gonna, whether he likes it or not.

Templar, Arizona can be found at templaraz.com.

TRIO OF BOBBY CROSBY'S COMICS JOIN KEENSPOT NETWORK
Last Blood, Marry Me, and +EV Gather Under Keenspot Umbrella

Cresbard, SD, March 26, 2008 - Keenspot is happy to announce that three popular comics from the mind of Bobby Crosby are being added to the network. Last Blood, Marry Me, and +EV will now be Keenspot-branded sites and participate in cross-promotion with other comics in the line-up. Print editions of all three titles will continue to be published by the Blatant Comics label.

"Bobby's comics now attract a readership of over 20,000 people daily, and we're thrilled to have them all in the Keenspot line-up," said Chris Crosby, Keenspot CEO and older brother of Bobby. "I've been working with him in a production capacity since he started, and with the buy-out of the company it only made sense to fold them into Keenspot."

In the horror-themed adventure Last Blood (lastblood.net), vampires must protect the last surviving humans so they can live off their blood after zombies take over the Earth. Written by Bobby and ilustrated by Owen Gieni (Sore Thumbs, WICKEDPOWERED) from a concept co-created by brother Chris, Last Blood has four comic book issues in print and a collected edition scheduled to ship in April from Blatant Comics. It debuted online in December 2006.

Marry Me (marrymemovie.com) is a romantic comedy about a pop star frustrated with her love life who marries a random fan holding a "MARRY ME" sign at one of her concerts. Written by Bobby and illustrated by Remy "Eisu" Mokhtar (No Pink Ponies), a collected edition is scheduled to ship this spring from Blatant. It debuted online in February 2007.

Poker is a way of life in +EV (plusev.net), a niche humor comic about an online poker pro named Corbin and his strange family and stranger friends. Written by Bobby and illustrated by Tiger Claw, +EV debuted online in August 2006 and a collected edition is scheduled for publication by Blatant this summer.

Prolific Cartoonist KC Green Brings His Comics To Keenspot

Cresbard, SD, March 21, 2008 - Keenspot is proud to announce that prolific, award-winning cartoonist KC Green has joined Keenspot. He brings his signature comics HORRIBLEVILLE, BEE POWER (formerly DROOP), and others to the popular webcomics network.

"I've been a fan of KC Green for awhile, and I'm honored that he's chosen to join Keenspot," said Keenspot CEO Chris Crosby. "His unique brand of humor and strikingly original art style make him one of the brightest lights shining on the webcomics scene today."

"Keenspot has been kind of a dream for me since I discovered webcomics as a tiny child on the internet," said Green. "I started reading webcomics 'cause of some of the talent these guys had back in the day. Now, I'm happy to be a part of that talent. Maybe some kid will discover and start reading webcomics because of me, and then grow to make some of his own. That's all I can hope for."

KEENSPOT PUTS CREATORS FIRST WITH NEW SYSTEM
Cartoonist Tiffany Ross Returns To Keenspot In Response

Cresbard, SD, March 4, 2008 - On the heels of the February 28th news that Crosby Comics had acquired complete control of the company, Keenspot has announced a new system that allows Keenspot creators to retain and control 100% of the advertising revenue they generate for their sites. Cartoonist Tiffany Ross, who left in 2006, has enthusiastically rejoined Keenspot in response.

"With the rise of highly-effective new ad networks and exchanges, we believe few know better than a comic's creator about how to maximize their ad sales and target the best-paying ads to their site," said Chris Crosby, CEO of Keenspot. "Combine that with the strong community and promotional aspects of Keenspot, and the new system seems to make for a winning formula. As our members freely share knowledge on how to generate optimal ad revenue, Keenspot drives traffic to their sites using our multiple promotional venues."

How will Keenspot as a business generate ad revenue under the new arrangement? "Keenspot recoups its costs by running in-house advertising in creators' unsold default impressions," said Crosby. "This set-up ensures that Keenspot doesn't make a dime until after the comic creator has." Keenspot will also continue generating 50% of ad revenue from some sites under the original contract, as certain creators aren't interested in handling their own ad streams. Thus far, roughly half of Keenspot's members have switched over to the new agreement.

Cartoonist Tiffany Ross, who in June 2006 removed from Keenspot her popular Shivae Studios (shivae.net) comics like ALIEN DICE and THE CYANTIAN CHRONICLES and who now makes a full-time living from webcomics, returned to Keenspot after learning about the changes. "While it's nice to be on your own, there are a ton of advantages to belonging to a group, but the issue that was strongest in my mind when I left was that I needed to earn a living wage... not pocket change," said Ross. "The moment I saw the direction of the beginning conversations for the changes, I felt like it was the day I first joined Keenspot, when I couldn't see a ceiling and the opportunities were limitless."

"Even though the new system give creators more control over their ads, the relationship between Keenspot and its members has actually strengthened," said Pascalle, co-creator of ZAP! (zapinspace.com), which joined up with Keenspot in 2004. "As creators, we don't see Keenspot as a springboard company anymore. We see it as a long-term partner that will help us grow our comics."

Newer Keenspot members like Joseph Kovell of NO NEED FOR BUSHIDO (noneedforbushido.com), who joined in October, are also enthusiastic about the new system. "Keenspot has been a major player in webcomics for as long as I remember, but the nature of the webcomic world has changed so much that Keenspot needed to change, too" said Kovell. "This more collective-like system will allow individual creators a whole new range of opportunities while keeping Keenspot's greatest benefit: a strong connection with a large number of fellow cartoonists."
